This tough girl certainly stands her ground among the men of WBE! 

She started out as one of the few women in the box at Dutch Green Center, after which she increased the level of women in the box at WBE. Today, along with more women, she is working at the WBE office.

Tell us about yourself (age, relationship, place of residence, etc.) 

I am Debora Barendse, 36 years young. I Live in Naaldwijk.

I have been with my boyfriend Charley (39 years) for almost 16 years and have a beautiful daughter Rosalina who is 7 years old. 

What are your hobbies (besides working hard at WBE)?

I like to do fun things with my family, relatives and friends. 

I also exercise twice a week.

What did you study?

I first studied Care & Welfare at the VMBO Lage Woerd. Then I did another year of MBO Helping well-being. 

What did you do before you started working at WBE? 

As a student, I earned my money at the local gardeners. This was in the chrysanthemums, roses, potted plants. I worked here after school. I also worked in the oliebollen (dutch donut) stall / fairground booth. At the end of 2006 I joined DGC (dutch green center) full-time. I worked here for a while as a box employee. I started here, at WBE in 2014. I started as a boxing employee and then started working at the administration of WBE. 

In which department do you work at WBE?

I worked as a box employee from 2014 to 2021. 

I have been with the administration since 2021.

At which branch do you work?

WBE Westland 

What does your average working day look like? 

I usually grab a cup of tea first. Then I turn on my computer and start printing all the invoices. 

I am mainly concerned with checking incoming invoices in Florisoft, I also check the transport invoices. 

What do you like best about your job? 

I actually like everything, my attitude is, you have to work anyway, then you better go to work with a smile. Another does not hang the garlands for you. 

What do you like least about your job? 

Quiet periods. I like to be busy and don't like it when I'm bored.

What is your favorite product? Why?

I think the exotic Monstera leaf is a cool leaf! 

Do you have any ambitions within WBE?

I am still learning a lot within the administration and I am always open to new things.
