Tell something about yourself (age, relationship, place of residence, etc.)
I am Ellen Zonneveld, 59 years old, married to Sjaak Zonneveld. We live in Honselersdijk and together we have 3 sons, Thierry 35 years old, Dave 32 years old and Vince is almost 30 years old. Our male family has now been expanded with 3 daughters-in-law and 3 granddaughters with a 4th granddaughter on the way.
What are your hobbies (besides the hard work at WBE)?
I am a grandmother with great dedication and watch Tara, Nova and Luna every Thursday.
Sjaak and I still really enjoy putting up the tent in the back of the car, looking for the sun and wandering a bit. I hope this will be possible again soon.
I try to breathe life into my sporting life, but that has not been very successful so far, the intention is to get back on the racing bike or to skate. After the summer I will know if that has worked out a bit.
What did you study?
After I finished HAVO I started working. When the children were young I got my dressmaker diploma and about 10 years ago I got my diploma as a general masseur. At the moment I don't do anything with either of them, maybe that will come again when I get more free time. You don't forget how to do that.
What did you do before you started working at WBE?
I started at Disko Transport BV. After a while I ended up at the auction by working for Schenker. When the children were young I worked as a substitute worker at various auction companies. By the time the youngest also went to school, I had a permanent job at Buma again, unfortunately, that company went bankrupt and I tried outside the auction and worked for a few years at the bulb farmer van de Bos. Until my sister pointed out that WBE was looking for someone. That was about 18 years ago, I think.
In which department do you work at WBE?
I think that's a good question…..
At which branch do you work?
Esp. WBE Westland
What does your average working day look like?
I largely fulfill a controlling role, I am the source of information for Florisoft issues and I am involved in business processes.
What do you like best about your job?
That no two days are the same.
What do you like least about your job?
If you are unable to quickly find a solution to a problem.
What is your favorite product? Why?
I think Cinerea stands out so much in terms of colour with the other greenery. Just look at our trucks, you can see it well.
Do you have any ambitions within WBE?
Enjoy working for this family business for a while.
