Robin was already well known within the WBE Group but since last year Robin is a real WBE! Time to put him in the spotlight.

Tell us about yourself (age, relationship, place of residence, etc.) 

I am Robin van Doren, 36 years old. I am from Hoek van Holland where I still live. Regularly my 8-year-old daughter Liva is with me.  

What are your hobbies (besides the hard work at wbe)?

Besides my work, which I also definitely enjoy, I love lots of things. From going to a soccer game to going out for dinner or to a concert. The weekends that my daughter is with me we also often go out from Cinema to zoo, etc. I try to undertake and enjoy as much as possible!😊

What did you study? 

I completed an MBO course in ICT System Administration after Mavo.

 What did you do before you started working at WBE? 

I worked at ACS for 12 years from where I also worked every week at WBE. Here I did the ICT business for various customers. From installation of PCs and servers to network and failures.

 In which department do you work at WBE?

Automation.

 At which branch do you work?

All branches. With a team we maintain the network/failures of the branches.

What does your average working day look like? 

These vary a bit. Every morning I'm available from 5 a.m. and I'm the first to check our support desk to see if there are any malfunctions/questions that have come in, which I can then pick up immediately. There are days when I start working from home. After dropping off my daughter at school, I drive to one of our branches. The days I don't have my daughter, I arrive at the auction around 5:45 am. 

What do you like best about your job? 

Versatility. No day is the same and it is never predictable. One day there are few breakdowns and I can focus on projects/maintenance. The other day there might be an outage and you fly everywhere.

What do you like least about your job?

In the event of a failure that you cannot control yourself and are dependent on external parties. This is sometimes annoying when my colleagues cannot get on with something because of this. 

What is your favorite product? Why? 

I think Salal anyway. I like this in a bouquet and finishes it off.

 Do you have any ambitions within WBE? 

I enjoy working within WBE and hope to remain on this team for a long time to come.
