Behind the scenes 

Hedera, also known as ivy, is known for its beautiful glossy leaves and lush green color. In addition to the green variety, we also offer a variegated variety, identified by the light streak on the leaves. We import both varieties on a weekly basis.

Our Hedera tendrils come directly from Dutch soil, namely from Vireo Plant. This supplier has six locations with a total area of 190,000 m2 of greenhouse space, enough space to grow the beautiful Hedera greenery! 

To use the space as efficiently as possible, the Hederas grow high into the air. That way, the long branches have all the freedom they need to grow out. Vireo Plant sells all the "steps" the plant goes through, from the cutting to the short plant and from the long plant to the longest branches which we then offer as tendrils.

Cutting the tendrils is done by hand. No special plants are grown for it, but simply the length of certain plants is considered. Once a plant is long enough, the longest branches are cut off and bundled. Ready to come our way.
