UTI Forwarding is a Rotterdam forwarding agent that ships 90,000 containers per year for both import and export. They stand for the real Rotterdam mentality: Work hard and have fun in time.

We talked to Stan de Kramer. He told us all about the ins and outs of UTI. Read the entire interview below.

Can you tell us more about the company?

UTI Forwarding is a Rotturrdamsche Forwarder, which ships 90,000 containers per year for both import and export. 

We mainly focus on refrigerated and frozen products, these are shipped by the so-called. reefer containers. We also ship and transport goods for WBE using these "refrigerators"

What does your company stand for?

UTI stands for the real hands-on mentality, Rotterdam mentality, Work hard and have fun every now and then. Where hard work is combined with a nice and cozy atmosphere. 

Collegiality is our top priority.

What happens to our products the first moment you are involved?

We organize the transport of the products, for example from Costa Rica or Guatemala. We also take care of all the necessary customs formalities. We also try to ensure that the containers arrive at your unloading address on time.

We will of course keep in close contact with customs, as they see Central America as a risk area, a container can still be checked.

If this is not the case, we will organize the transport to the WBE storage.

How long have you been working with WBE?

Our collaboration with WBE is one of the older ones within our company, we have been working with WBE for more than 30 years.

The relationship we have goes beyond purely business, we can safely say that within our organizations a real friendship has developed in various areas and layers in both organizations.

What do you think are the advantages of WBE?

Although we have nothing to do with the products of WBE, we know the people at WBE who we have been able to work with for more than 30 years. And what we can say about this is that WBE consists of a pleasant group of hard-working people, whom we have been able to rely on for quite some time.

I think we can describe WBE as the perfect partner: Reliable, fun and an unstoppable drive! There are of course also some disadvantages, would like to drink a beer together….

What is your role within the company?

My role within UTI is on sales, what I mainly do is approach new relations and maintain contact with existing relations.

What does your day look like?

As far as my day is concerned, this can vary enormously, which is perhaps the charm of shipping.

It is a business that never stops. There is never really a day that is the same, you come in and the schedule can be completely different than what you expected when you stepped in.

Marc van Overdam has been involved with WBE from the first minute, he also organizes all transports for WBE. He is therefore very attached to his Rijnsburg Boys shirt!
