Sustainability is the basis. Also at WBE. We are constantly trying to make our products more sustainable. That is why we have added a new product to our range: Flat moss packed in a biodegradable bag.

The Flat moss in the biodegradable bag has the same good quality as you have always expect from us. The bag is biodegradable, which means less waste! This is because the bag is made of sustainable plastics made from sugar cane. Normal plastic is made from petroleum and that is not good for the CO2 / carbon footprint. Sustainable plastic is also called bioplastics. This form of bioplastics are the best of all, because they are really made from natural products. So are the bags of the Flat moss. Better for nature, while you see no difference with normal plastic. 

In addition, the bag takes up less space than the well-known white styrofoam box. This ensures that the biodegradable bags are more efficient for transport. The purchase price of the bag is also cheaper. More than enough reasons to offer the moss in a biodegradable bag! 

We import the Flat moss weekly, it is also available all year round. The moss grows in the woods. There it is picked from the ground and collected in the bags. Did you know that moss has no roots but Rhizoids? These are small cell threads with which they can attach themselves to the substrate. This allows mosses to grow where other plants cannot.

Flat moss is a ground cover and that is often what the moss is used for. We often see the moss as the basis of planters and (Christmas) arrangements. This green filler easily gives a natural effect to the arrangement.
