Can you tell us more about the company?

It was founded in 2009, and is integrated by 3 farms: Sicusa, Adecor and Ornamentales La Loma. One located in the north area of Guatemala and the other two in the central area, therefore we have different weather conditions to produce our greens.

Working with nature we are affected by elements we can't control, so we try to keep innovating, learning and looking for ways to be more efficient, and face the challenges not only of the industry but of the world, to produce quality according to the requirements of the market.

Where does your company stand for?

We are an agricultural company that believes employees are the most important part of the operation, treating them with fairness and providing good work conditions is the base of all we do to achieve good quality products.

How long have you been supplying WBE?

Our relation with WBE is already for 30 years; as a direct supplier 11 years (and counting)

Which products do you supply to WBE?

Currently, Leather Leaf fern and Aralia

What do you think are the advantages of WBE?

In all the years of relation, we have come to know WBE is a solid company that works with honesty and support to their suppliers, understanding that we are all links of the same chain. We consider WBE as a family member.

What is your role within the company?

CEO / owner

What does your day look like?

Every day is different. Some of the things I do are supervising operation in coordination with the management team, who are in charge of production, packing house, quality control, etc.

Together with them, we also make the planning to fulfill as much as possible the market requirements.

Another important task is investigation, this helps to learn, find ways to be better, be more efficient. Manage costs, look into opportunities/investments that can help consolidate the company and strengthen our business relation with WBE.

Do you have any tips / tricks for your product?

Keep them well hydrated with fresh water and avoid direct sunlight. Cutting the tip of the stem before placing it in the vase improves the shelf life.
