Nobilis, Nordmann, Kieffer, Cypresse, wreaths, trees and much more. At the WBE group, the coming months will be dominated by Christmas greenery.
This month we would like to tell you more about a number of popular varieties that we will be selling a lot during the coming period.
We received a number of photos from our suppliers that we would like to share with you below.
One of the most popular Christmas greenery varieties is Nobilis. The foliage is used for, among other things, Christmas arrangements, wreaths, bouquets and other decorations. Nobilis can be recognized by the soft, blue-green needles that have a wonderful scent.
We get the Nobilis from our supplier in Denmark. Here the green branches grow high on the trees. The trees can grow up to 30/35 years old and up to 25 meters high. These trees are part of a wider program and eventually, they are used in the timber industry.
Nobilis is also cut from lower trees. Then it is generally a bit softer than the green which is cut high.
Our supplier goes into the trees with a platform. He cuts the branches to different lengths. The branches are sorted and then packed in bundles of 5 kg. Then the bundles are packed on pallets. Ready to come to us.
In addition to offering Nobilis greenery as loose branches, the green is also often used in wreaths and trees. Take a look in our webshop for the current range.
Another popular Christmas greenery is Nordmann. These branches can be recognized by the dark green, shiny needles.
Just like the Nobilis, we also get the Nordmann branches from Denmark. It is cut from the same trees that we will bring home for Christmas. This is because there has been a surplus of these trees for years.
The Christmas trees are grown by the growers from an early age.
The different types of moss are also becoming increasingly popular towards the end of the year. This is because moss is a great base for Christmas arrangements and wreaths.
Flat moss is the number one of the mosses. The moss is collected in the forests of Denmark. This green filler easily gives a natural effect to the arrangement. Flat moss is available all year round.
Thanks to our supplier Hennings, we now also offer our flatmoss in sustainable packaging. Unlike other plastic packaging, the wooden box containing the moss has been made CO2 neutral. The wood is collected from “old trees”. Only 20% of the trees in an area are cut for these boxes. When the trees are felled, new trees are planted.
A great bonus is that, after the moss has been used, we also see the wooden box used as decoration.
Cushion moss is mainly collected in Poland and France. The moss was already very popular during the Advent and Christmas period, but the trend of natural green moss walls has made this moss species even more popular.
We offer reindeer moss in many different colours in our webshop. We have a colour that suits every trend.
In the wild, reindeer eat this moss, hence the name.
In addition to these products, we offer many more products. In fact, too many to mention! In our webshop you will find the current range of all Christmas greenery.Take a look.
