On a sunny Thursday in August, our colleagues Karst and Gerben get into the car to visit the supplier MultiGreens GmbH in Germany. They have arranged to meet the owner and director, Eloy Bies, who will tell them more about a number of popular seasonal products. Where everyone is still walking around in short sleeves, we are already busy with the products towards the Christmas period!

After the car journey towards Germany, our colleagues were warmly welcomed with coffee and sandwiches. After catching up, the tour began. First a tour of the production hall and then a tour of the forests, where the products grow. 

With a pick-up they drive to different plots, where various products are grown. MultiGreens has products like Quercus Rubra, Heidelbeer, Gagel, Leucothoe, Photinea, Pinus Strobus, Nobilis, Nordmann and conifers in its assortment. During the tour it becomes clear to us that Eloy knows exactly how to cut each plant in the best way. This is due to his years of experience. His employees also cut in this way, so they preserve the plants and next year they will grow sufficiently. 

The products of Multigreens are MPS-GAP certified, of which owner Eloy is very proud. MPS-GAP is a certification scheme that deals with traceability, environment, safety and hygiene within the company. With these products, green is not only the basis of the bouquet, but also of the way there.
