Flower parade 2023

"The wonders of nature"

Last weekend was the time again; the Flower Parade Rijnsburg.

The 76th edition of the parade was another special and colorful edition with the theme: "wonders of nature." A theme that fits well with the parade, because flowers, plants and cut greens are already wonders of nature an sich!

The arrangers of the floats and passenger cars went a step further. They managed to translate the theme into unique designs for the cars in a great way. The Flower Parade was again a party to behold.

Fire

WBE's car also looked beautiful again! Not only we thought so, but also the judges, because the car was rewarded with a gold medal.

The theme of the car was fire. This was nicely reflected in the color of the Jeep Wrangler, arranged by HAI Rijnsburg.

The cut foliage on the car is supplied by WBE itself, and of course we always go the extra mile there! Special species like extra large Kentia palm, Xanadu, Calatea and Palmetto were the real eye-catchers on the Jeep. But also popular products like Leather Fern, Ruscus and Grevillea were featured in the arrangements.

Route

To colleague Fred was this year the honor of driving together with his wife. The car could first be admired on Friday evening on the grounds of Flora Holland. This day is always the official opening of the Flower Parade. Also the award ceremony was this day.

Saturday at 1 p.m. the route began. With over 350,000 spectators lining the roadside, Fred rode from Rijnsburg through Katwijk to Noordwijk.

Where you could already enjoy the beautiful cars on Friday, it is actually only really finished on Saturday. Because during this day you can also enjoy the music, extras and atmosphere.

A number of cars and Parade floats were still on display in Noordwijk on Sunday.

Back in time

WBE has participated in the Flower Parade for many years now. In addition to the passenger car, WBE also participated with a float when WBE celebrated its 40th anniversary.

Not only is it important to showcase all that can be done with our cut greens, but working with the local community is also important.

A great reason to rejoin the Flower Parade every year.
