It is not without reason that the state in America is called La Florida, Spanish for the flowery one. Thanks to the subtropical climate with mild winters, we can offer various beautiful products. Every week we import various products from Florida.

FAMILY TIES

WBE started as a small-scale family business more than 40 years ago. Over the past few years, we have built several close relationships with suppliers. This is also the case in Florida.

Puckett, Hagstrom and Int. Floral Greens have been our regular suppliers for years. We, therefore, asked these suppliers for more information about their products.

PUCKETT FERN

Supplier Puckett has been in the greenery business/sector for three generations. It has grown into a company with more than 100 motivated employees.

The company started using Plumosus years ago. The greens were packed in wooden boxes, filled with ice to keep it as cold as possible.

Today, the greenery is no longer shipped in wooden boxes, and Puckett offers more than just Plumosus.

Palmetto is a good example of a product from Puckett that we sell a lot.

The sturdy palm is available all year round in various lengths.

In addition, we sell Leather Leaf fern from Puckett. This green can be recognized by the famous pink box. Puckett's fern is very popular because of its large leaf surface.

HAGSTROM

Hagstrom is also a supplier that WBE has been working with for a long time.

As WBE, Hagstrom is a family business. Some employees are even 4th generation family!

A good example of a product from Hagstrom is Tree fern.

The fern is a widely used foliage worldwide. The greenery can be recognized by the dark colour and provides a lot of volume in an arrangement or bouquet. The greenery is packed in the recognizable orange box with the Blue Ribbon brand name.

INT. FLORAL GREENS

Another grower in Florida is Int. Floral Greens. The greenery from Int. Floral Greens is often imported via Florida.

A good example of a product that is delivered weekly from Int. Floral Greens is Galax. The heart-shaped leaf is extremely popular as the basis of a corsage. The leaf is also great in arrangements. We offer Galax in regular, extra and super size.

A fun fact about Galax is that the foliage turns red during the winter season. The red leaf is selected and offered separately in the period leading to Christmas.

Galax is more difficult to obtain in June and July, because the leaf is still young.

OTHER PRODUCTS FROM FLORIDA

Aspidistra is a widely used leaf. It is very popular for the width and firmness. Despite the strength of the leaf, it is still very flexible.
