Last week we received the results for last month's audit. Both WBE and Eurose & Greens passed. Both branches can proudly mention that they are Global G.A.P Chain of Custody certified.
The GLOBAL G.A.P, Chain of Custody is a certificate for all companies and traders dealing with GLOBAL G.A.P certified products.
The GLOBAL G.A.P, Chain of Custody tracks products throughout the process, from grower to retailer. It sets requirements for the use of certified products and the proper segregation of certified and non-certified products in processing units. Traders, processors and distributors can credibly demonstrate that they sell certified products, demonstrate traceability and become visible on the GLOBALG.A.P. website.
We asked commercial manager Gerben Kuivenhoven why it is so important for our branches to comply:
"We are part of the chain from grower to consumer. With the Chain of Custody certificate, the product maintains its Global Gap status and thus we meet the demands of the market.
With the increasing demand for products with Global Gap certification, the C.o.C. certificate provides us to meet this demand.
This allows us to respond to the wants and needs of our customers and to continue building relationships with an eye on transparency and sustainability."
We are proud that both WBE and Eurose & Greens are now officially compliant!
