Looking back on the past period

The last Christmas products are sold out.
Due to the Coronavirus, the lockdowns and scarcity of some products, this period was different from other years.
This blog will also be different from other blogs. This is because in the first part of the blog we mainly look back on a number of Christmas products. We received a couple of photos from our suppliers that we would like to share with you, even though we no longer sell the products.
In the second part of the blog, we are looking at products that welcome the new year.
Get inspired for the new year.

DIFFERENT WREATHS

We received the first photos from our supplier of the wreaths. These were, unfortunately, sold out in no time. Due to a lot of uncertainty in the market with possible upcoming lockdowns, less staffing in terms of personnel for production, planned transports that ultimately went differently, fewer wreaths came in than expected. When we received the photos there were actually no more wreaths. Nevertheless, we would like to share the images with you.
The various wreaths that we offer in our webshop are tied by hand. Employees are standing at tables attaching foliage such as Nobilis or Nordmann to a ring of straw. When the wreaths are ready, they are sorted by type and bundled per 5 pieces.
The wreath season starts at the end of October, the peak is during the Advent period. The production of the wreaths often stops in mid-December. Put it in your agenda for next year.

GO FOR COLOUR

We also saw a lot of painted foliage come by.
In silver, gold, red, copper or other colours. A coloured product gives a festive look to a bouquet or arrangement.
The greenery is dipped a number of times in the desired colour. Then the bunches of foliage hang to dry. The products pass through the drying cabin via rails.
A look in the paint box resulted in beautiful pictures!
In addition to painted greenery, we also offered different types of greenery “snowed”. When snowing, a white layer is sprayed over the greenery. This gives the greenery a winter look.
The last silver products are now being sold for the Silvester holiday. Take a look in our webshop for the current range.

READY FOR THE NEW YEAR

While the Christmas greenery is no longer available in our webshop, we see products for the new year appear.
The products below are seasonal products. This means that they are only available in our webshop for a certain period of time. So buy them while you can.

VACCINIUM MYRTILLUS

Vaccinium Myrtillys is again available in our webshop. Vaccinium Myrtillys is a late autumn product. The branches are available approximately from November to March, but this depends very much on nature. This is because they first have to wait until all leaves have fallen off the branches. Only then, the branches are pruned. But as soon as the leaves grow back on, pruning is stopped. The greenery is also difficult to obtain during snowfall.
The branches grow wild in the deciduous forests in Germany. After pruning, the branches are sorted and then bundled in bunches.

MYRICA GALE

Other well-known branches that we are selling more and more this time of year are Myrica Gale branches. These branches also come from Germany. Myrica Gale grows in the wild just like Vaccinium Myrtillys. The branches grow mainly on wet and acidic soil, for example near heathlands.
The Myrica Gale branches can be recognized by the golden brown catkins.
These give a cheerful effect to any bouquet or arrangement. The branches are available for the first few months of the year.
Do you want to get started with the different products? Then take a look in our webshop. The current stock is always shown here.
